I'm buying my mum a gift because its her birthday soon! But its a special birthday to her.. I don't know what to receive her I found some great stuff on http://www.impressionjewellery.co.uk but they say you can also make and design your possess jewellery, so i'm thinking of receive her something made so that it is unique and special.. any ideas on what I could do? Open Question: Would seat covers make a good present?
My boyfriend is turning 20 in August and I want to receive him a good gift. I usually like to go every out and find something unique when I give someone a gift instead of the usual DVD, Video game, gift card ETC. He's really into NASCAR and I found some Dale Earnhardt SR. car seat covers. I was thinking of getting two for his car (the seats are getting worn out and raggedy, He's mentioned needing seat covers before) they cost $30 each. Would seat covers make a good gift? Or is it like giving someone a can opener or vacuum cleaner for their birthday? I figured since he's mentioned needing them before and its a licensed merchandise item it would be sufficient. Resolved Question: Should celebrities be paid less?
My husband and I were debating this and we got on the subject of how the military sacrifices their lives daily and are given sub-par health service..etc. The real heroes of society are paid next to nothing. And my husband feels that celebrities shouldn't receive what they receive.....and I thought about it for a bit.....yes, I know his view is an ideal view but I think of it differently, How many people have the ability to perform like Beyonce, sing like Mariah or Jazmine Sullivan shoot a ball like Lebron James, etc? A gift doesn't arrive from going to college, or extremely long practice sessions...or even signing an obscure government contract. Yes, you can develop inherent gifts, but the number of ppl with those special talents are not equivalent to the number of ordinary people. I feel that a person with an extraordinary talent will be celebrated by society more bc of how unique they are. Now, many celebrities hoard their blessings instead of doing what is right and spreading it around. For every spy bag one of them buys, they could feed 100's of kids in their possess back yard. But charity has to be in your heart. If you are an ordinary person, you won't be paid like a rock star...bc for every 1 of you, there are 100 more graduating college this year.....or signing that contract.....ordinary people are easily replaceable because they are so common. I think that is why celebrities exist as they do......more people like their talent.......that still doesn't make being a teacher, or a nurse, or another otherwise ordinary person an insignificant task bc even celebrities need doctors. What's your view? I am far from worshiping celebrities....I worship God and Him only. I am just saying this, God gives everyone talents....some can be appreciated by many and some can be appreciated by few.....I don't know if you know the parable of the talents but check it out. I believe that there are talents and there are special talents. Some people are intelligent while others are geniuses. There are enough people becoming...I can sew but I am not a fashion designer. Can it be said that a fashion designer cannot learn how to hold a gun, a hose to battle a flame....sign a contract..he may not like it very much.......but he can do it. You cannot learn to sing but a singer can learn to battle a flame :-).

Open Question: Is this a good chapter for my novel?
Chapter Two: Youngblood “He is the one who will change you,” she whispered after an hour of silence. “I thought mom was going to change me…” I thought out noisy, letting go of her; the energy poured out of me. The room started spinning; my knees locked together, causing me to fall to the floor. But, I didn’t feel any pain that I was expecting; instead, I felt the fluffy, comforting surroundings of my bed. I sat up a little and made my eyes adjust on Grandma, the room slowly came back into view and I wasn’t dizzy anymore. Before I could ask, Grandma, like always, had the answer already. “Other family members can’t change their relatives, because when you have to change someone into a vampire, you must bite into their body. When you do this, you trigger something inside of the human, causing their heart to cease beating altogether. Basically, you’re sucking their humanity away from them, making them undead,” she paused and looked at me to be sure I understood. I nodded, even though I was so confused. “But, the reason family members can’t change their relatives is because we share the same blood, and if a vampire were to drink their possess blood, they would die. When you drink your possess blood, your killing yourself, therefore, when or if the same blood members change a family member, they’re killing themselves, along with the relax of the family.” She took a deep breath. “But what’s so special about this he guy?” I asked. Grandma turned her slim body towards me, so she could face me completely. She sat chris-cross and put her hands on her thighs. Again, she looked me in the eyes. “Well, he is unique. A legend in vampire history,” she began, “strangely, he doesn’t share any blood with anyone. Not his mom, nor his dad.” I raised an eyebrow. “That’s so, weird.” I mumbled. Grandma nodded in agreement. “So, when the Youngblood clan changed him, they found his gift-“ “What was his gift?” I interrupted, getting interested. “He has the ability to change anyone he or the Youngblood clan believes would make a new vampire addition.” She explained. “Whoa,” was every I could think to say. I mean, this was so crazy! Some guy is going to arrive here tonight and take away my humanity, just so I could guide some clan of human killers? “So, I guess he’s like the clans secret weapon?” I asked. She nodded. “You learn quick.” She commented, about to receive up. “arrive, your party a waits.” “But it’s only,” I glanced over at the clock. In red digital letters it read: 5:50. Grandma offered her hand out to me. “Wait, one more question,” I begged. Grandma sighed, sitting back on the bed. “Why was I chosen for this, and how will it feel when he, eh, changes me.” “That’s two questions dear.” Grandma scolded. “Not if you answer them both every at once.” I told her. She rolled her eyes. “You were marked because your dad is the Creator of the Youngblood clan, and when your mom and him made adore, he put some of his DNA into you, causing you to be marked.” She said. I’m going to be mature about this. I told myself. “Okay…” I said, “Now onto the feeling thing.” “Each person feels they’re change differently. Some people say it burns because of the venom entering your veins, but others say it feels good.” She said. But it felt like she was in a rush to receive her words out. “Now arrive on dear, we have to receive down before twilight comes.” I glanced over at the clock again. 5:52 PM. I stubbornly took her hand, again, her energy leaked into my body as our fingers intertwined. I stepped off of my bed. As we walked through my room I took a glance at the mirror. This would be my last look at the real me. I thought to myself. Grandma turned to me before we reached the door. “You’re mom is going to warn you when we are out of your room.” She told me, but before I could ask why the door was already opened and there stood my mom. Mom’s brunette hair was past her shoulders, almost at her hips. She looked me in the eyes, her brown eyes glowing. I shuttered at the look of her. She was just standing there, a grin painted on her face, revealing her fangs… “Your Grandma has already told you,” she said, more like a statement than a question. Grandma nodded, letting go of my hand. “Ready?” Mom asked me, still smiling. “Y-yeah.” I stuttered. She took my hand. There was a different feeling with her; it wasn’t energy pouring into my body, it was a little warm, but when she touched me, my body grew colder, weaker. She pulled me down the stairs. The hallway lights were dimmer and I could hear voices from downstairs, unfamiliar voices. They were whispers as if they didn’t want us to hear their conversation. As mom walked me down the wooden stairs, I slowly saw the bodies of the people who were whispering. They’re voices went silent and I saw their eyes go from my Grandma, Mom, and then to me. Two women stood beside my brother and dad. Each of them wore a floor-length dress that hugged their bodies like the dress was made for them. I Three men stood beside my sister, each one of them taller than the other. They were also looking up at us with smiles on their faces, but one of them, the tallest, he didn’t have a grin, instead he made his lips into a straight line as he saw us coming. I saw his eyes dilate when he saw me, his nostrils flared; he bit his lip, as if he was resisting some type of temptation. His blonde hair hung in his face, coming down to his eyebrows. But instead of them covering up his pale blue eyes, they swept across his light brown eyebrows perfectly. His skin was unbelievably pale. It looked like he had been kissed by snow bunnies. Strangely, his face showed no expression. The others had bright eyes and smiles on their faces, but he just had a thin, red line painted on his face. He titled his head a little as he watched every step I took, as if he were studying my movements. Grandma stepped off the stairs first, bowing slightly to the four men and two women; they bowed back, but quickly turn they bowed back, but quickly turned their eyes back on me. God, I felt like a painting at a museum. I stood beside Grandma, not taking my eyes off of the blonde. I was trying to find some nice of emotion in his face, but every I saw was blankness. His nostrils flared and he bit his lip, as if he was resisting a temptation. I turned away from him and looked at the man standing beside him. His brown hair was brushed neatly back, showing his clear forehead. His eyebrows were up, making his eyes wide. He was nice of attractive, for a twenty five year old I guess. I don’t know if he really is twenty five, but he surely looked like it. He had his hands behide his back, his chest exposed. He must have been a vampire, because usually when a guys chest is out you can look his breathing, not with him. His chest just lay there, he didn’t show a breathing rhythm; it just laid there. “Welcome to our home,” Mom said, knocking me out of my thoughts. “I am glad you could make it.” One of the women One of the women raised an eyebrow. “Yes, we don’t normally accept home calls,” she said, her voice had a little purr to it. “But, on this,” she paused, trying to find the right words, “special occasion, we had no choice.” “Indeed,” one of the men agreed, stepping out of the line. “I am Dimitrie, nice to meet you Nichole.” He said, offering a hand out. I didn’t realize how close we every were to each other. I gulped, but took his hand. When we touched, I felt a little shock at his touch. I bit my lip to cease myself from wincing. “I’d prefer Nikki,” I whispered, looking into his gold eyes. He nodded and took his hand away. “This is Adrian,” Dimitrie said, placing his hand on the third tallest men’s shoulder. Adrian bowed respectfully. Adrian was sort of the twin of the blonde, but instead of being blonde, he has thick, brown hair that was perfectly side swept. I smiled a little at Adrian. “It is a pleasure to be here today for your change,” he said, walking over to me. Adrian grabbed my hand swiftly, kissing it. The touch of his lips on my skin was icy, a dead feeling actually. Adrian walked back to the group. Dimitrie shot him a glance and Adrian just shrugged. Dimitrie walked back over to the tallest boy. “This is Daniel.” He said. Daniel half smiled. “I’d prefer Danny,” he said, mocking my voice. I smirked. “Oh very silly,” I said without thinking. He half smiled again. One of the women cleared their throats, trying to receive Dimities’ attention. He walked over to them. His movements were so, elegant, so different from the other men here. “This is Victoria,” he said, placing his hand gently on the brunettes shoulder. Her full, red lips curved up into a grin, revealing her fangs. I shuttered. Victoria’s brown hair was pulled back out of her face, and was piled on top of her head, showing her curls. She must have thick hair, because I could look millions of bobby pens jabbed into her hair. Her eyes were a deep blue, framed with thick eyelashes. “It’s a pleasure to be here,” she said to me. Dimitrie smirked a little, and then went on with the introductions. “And, this is Monica.” He said, placing his other hand on the African American lady. She was unspeakably beautiful. Her long, black curly hair went past her shoulders and stopped at her hips. She had caramel colored skin, and shockingly beautiful black eyes. Her lips were full and red. She smiled. “I’m impressed; most mortals would be freaking out right now to be in a room with vampires.” She said to me, and bowed slightly. “Well, I’m pretty much used to it by now.” I lied. She smiled. “Alright, Daniel, you may proceed with the change.” Dimitrie said, nodding at Daniel. Daniel sighed, walking over to me. He grabbed my hand and led me up stairs. I looked down at Grandma, and she just mouthed: Be Careful With Him. Is this a good Chapter? Did I decribe everything right? Can you actully picture yourself there?

Voting Question: Do you regret liking someone?
The night before Valentine's, I gave a girl with a boyfriend a blossom wrapped in paper and anonymous note saying you're unique. It showed a lot of thought. She lived next to me, has the same classes because of the same major, a mutual pal she always sits with. We aren't friends but were friendly with each other.. I tell her about a week later I gave the gift. Then, in lecture halls (we have classes with about 200 people), I start noticing her looking and observing me while smiling, and looking suddenly when she realizes I'm in her presence. . After one class, I like to go home by myself...mistake. She knew and though she never goes back right after like I do, she decided one day go down the way I do. She called me when she was behind me already..why I don't know, especially when I didn't have her number yet, but she happened to be going back so I didn't think much of it and we talked a little. The second time, I was almost home, so her catching up looked weird--I felt uncomfortable. She had walked really quick while calling people to make it seem like she didn't want to talk to me, but it's obvious she did. She called someone while stepping in front of my way, just to tell the person she'd call back. We are both standing, and when she's done, she says "why aren't we walking" and starts going forward without me..hoping I'd say something to cease her, because when I told her to walk in my direction, she responded immediately like she was anticipating it. I lost my attraction to her.. The way she was acting was misleading, especially when she wasn't single, so I told her we should be friends that day..for a week she still gave me looks that weren't as glad, then started to be icy to me. I asked her if she ever was attracted to me, she says no..she wasn't trying to seduce me..but her behavior and looks she'd given seemed genuine too. I'm confused, but I regret giving her the blossom. Do you regret liking someone..

Open Question: Gifts in Arab culture?
If an Arabic country where invaded by an unpopular foreign force and that foreign force where then driven out by another force which the people of said country held in very high esteem, what gifts would the local people offer to the liberating soldiers? I was thinking maybe sweets/flowers, but I am looking for one or more items unique to Arab culture. Resolved Question: Has anyone ever heard of Esham?
He's an exceptional underground rapper from Detriot, and one of the originators of horrorcore hip-hop along with Brotha Lynch Hung & Ganksta N-I-P. He has a wonderfully unique sound and is a gifted lyricist. Even as an underground artist, he still doesn't receive his dues. What's y'every opinion on him? They sure do. Both records were cornerstones of midwest hip-hop, along with MC Breed's early stuff, although they were quite different rappers. Bruce Wayne: Gothom City 1987 was a classic. It's quite an injustice that rappers like Eminem and Tech N9ne were influenced by him, yet he never really gets his props. He's still going as far as I know. Some people on this forum obviously do know their stuff.

I was thinking of getting her something like a picture frame with us in it because she is leaving for college soon... But i'm not sure if I want to do that. Resolved Question: What are some different/special child's names?
I am spawning a baby within the next few weeks and am so far undecided on a name. I think that each new life is a gift, and that this child will be a gift for me, and so I should be able to call it something really meaningful and interesting, to reflect my personality. My boyfriend and I have been dating for 10 months and his birthday is coming up so I want to do something really special for him. I am leaving in the fall for college and he is staying here for college so we won't look each other for a few months and I want to make his birthday memorable and unique. Voting Question: Gift ideas for my boyfriend?
He is turning 24 and I need a very unique gift for him. He's really good at buying me gifts and I'm horrible at it. Below I'll put down a few things about him to give people an idea of what he likes to do: ...He's currently studying for the GRE to receive into grad school for fine arts..hence, he loves poetry.(he owns just about every book from every his favorite authors already) ...He's also an avid guitar player. He has two acoustic guitars and one electric(he needs an amp..which is too expensive for me to receive & i don't want to receive him concert tickets because he's been to 3 concerts and a music festival already this year) ...He loves every those corny comic book, Nordic mythology, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings stuff butt he's not too geeky about it. He has the movies and books but that's it. He's not much into collecting toys or posters. ...Last...he loves sports. He's also an avid Ultimate Frisbee player as well. Any unique ideas will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. He only uses black guitar straps which he has plenty of...& I'm done the lingerie thing before soo I'm nice of trying to receive him something that will shock and surprise him. For example: I'm from the Philippines and for my bday he got ahold of my relatives on facebook & had them send him photos of me when I was young & made me an amazing scrapbook that my mom helped him with & he got me a shirt that says "Somebody loves you from Olongapo" which is where I'm from in the Philippines. I need some creative help on this one

Resolved Question: bridesmaid gifts ideas?
All of my girls have been in numerous weddings before, so they are every stocked up on cosmetic bags, make up brushes, flasks, the typical BM gift. I bought them some shoes, but would like another unique idea for a gift. The shoes were fairly expensive, so does anyone have any inexpensive, unique, but USABLE gift ideas? My birthday is soon and I already have a big gift in mind (a underwater digital camera) but I need some other smaller gift idea's to give to family and friends. I'm going to list the things that I'm interested in and I'm hoping that some of you have heard of/or possess some fun gadgets, toy's, accessory's, ext. that I might want!! I'm interested in... - Art (Drawing, Painting, Sketching, Sculpture) - Photography (I have a Nikon SLR camera) - Travel - Books (mostly teen fiction; Harry Potter, Twilight, things like that. *However: I'm not looking for book recommendations mainly. If you have a few that's fine but I already got a big batch of books from a pal) - Anything Joss Whedon (I possess every his dvd's and comic books already however) - World of Warcraft/Kingdom Hearts - Extra Nerdy-ness (This is very broad because I thought I might receive some good gadget/toy suggestions from this one. I like a lot of games, internet, science fiction tv shows. Total nerdy things like that. :) ) - Film (no dvd's please but I adore film and movie making. Acting, props, set design and things like that.) I put a lot of the main things I'm interested in, some I already have most of the items that might be suggested (like the "joss whedon" catagory) but I thought I'd list them anyways in case you guys know of something chilly and unique that I haven't seen yet. That's really the nice of stuff I'm looking for, unique fun slightly cheaper items. Voting Question: Baby Shower Advice Please!?
I am throwing a baby shower for a good girlfriend of mine at the end of August. The long and short of it is she has a few different circles of friends and the girls from each side that expressed interest in having one for her have every joined forces. There are about 5 of us in on the gig. I have volunteered myself as 'project manager' since I have the most downtime due to being in the same condition as she is. Everyone was very chilly with that. Unfortunately, I am NOT getting the response AT every I was hoping for from the other 4 hosts! I can handle everything if I need to, but I thought it would be nice that every her girls had a say. We have food covered, but that's about it! Our main hiccup at the moment is about shower games. 2 of them think they are awful and painful, 2 of us are completely neutral, and one said she quite likes them. Great. I asked Mama-to-be what SHE wants and she said she doesn't care either way and it was up to me what I decide. I asked on a baby message board a few weeks ago about fun & unique games to play and someone mentioned a diaper raffle. I LOVED it! I presented it to the girls, but have gotten no feedback! AHHHH! I thought it was a nice compromise. (FYI - Diaper raffle is where the guests are asked to bring a pack of diapers to the shower (this is in addition to their gift!) The guest gets a raffle ticket in return and has a chance to win a fabulous prize at the end of the shower - and it WILL be fabulous!) My ONLY concern is that since I don't know some of the guests, I don't know how it will be taken or perceived. I don't want people to be p*ssed thinking they have to buy a gift AND bring diapers. This is why I was hoping for some feedback from the girls as they would know how their group would take it! I will make sure to say it's NOT an obligatory game to play - because it's not! This is something that needs to be put on the invite and I need to send out the invites THIS WEEK as I am going to be away for 10 days and I want to give the guests ample time to make arrangements if they want to arrive. Advice?

Resolved Question: Need help with a title please! Very short, an easy 2 pts?
Okay, the book is about three very diverse groups of scientifically created teenage superheroes who have to band together to battle a supervillian seen by a professional future-seer (i can't remember the name of a future-seer...) named Frederick Tasman. The three groups hate each other at first and are composed of the Beta Group, ( composed of 4 heroes who are the most outcast group), the Alpha Group (the ordinary group with slightly more powerful gifts that the Beta Group, and composed of 5 heroes), and the Omega Group (the most powerful group of heroes, one of which is Tasman's son. They are composed of 6 heroes) each of the heroes has their possess unique story (that I've already made) and how the groups every formed and stuff. This is probably the final book, and I need a title. Please help!! (Also, if you could give me: 1.) the name of a future-seer because I can't remember what they're called 2.) a name for the group when the Beta, Alpha and Omega groups join to battle the bad guy and become one great big team (NOT the teen titans or anything please, I've gotten that LOTS before) that would be great! thank you sooo much! :)
